About Muse & Fur.
A modern pet portrait studio for people who treat their home like a curated space, not a pet-themed gallery.
Pet portraits, without the kitsch.
Most custom pet portraits are built for novelty. Your dog as a Renaissance king. Your cat dressed as an astronaut. They're fun for a week and a conversation piece for a month, but they rarely belong in the rooms you've spent years curating.
Muse & Fur was started for a different conversation. Restrained, single-style portraits made for design-conscious homes. Not a costume, not a scene, not a novelty. Just your pet, treated as a worthy subject and rendered with care.
Less noise. More intention.
Good design is restraint. A single, considered illustration style. Three frame finishes in real wood. Four sizes. The collection is intentionally tight because that's where most homes belong.
If you want something more elaborate, our Atelier service builds bespoke commissions to your brief. But the core collection stays small on purpose. We'd rather make a few things well than many things adequately.
Made in days, not weeks.
We use modern digital rendering tools to compose each portrait from your photograph. This is what allows us to ship in days rather than the four to six weeks a traditional illustrator would take, and it's what allows us to keep the price accessible without compromising the materials.
Every piece is reviewed and refined by our studio before it goes to print. The canvas is archival. The frames are real wood. The packaging is considered. What you hang on your wall is built to last.
Three principles.
Restraint over novelty
A single house style, executed consistently. We make decisions for you so the result fits in any room you've already curated.
Materials that last
Archival canvas. Real wood frames. Considered packaging. The materials are the part of the product that's not digital, and we treat them that way.
Honest about the process
We don't pretend our portraits are hand-illustrated when they're rendered digitally. The speed and price are the benefit. The considered finish is the standard.
Your portrait, quietly made.
The collection ships in about a week. Bespoke commissions through The Atelier take roughly two. We'd love to make something for your wall.
